Nature’s Sunshine Canada Prepares Women’s Hygiene Kits

In October, Nature’s Sunshine Canada held their annual fall Wellness Retreat in Toronto, Canada. Volunteers at the event helped to pack 500 hygiene kits for women experiencing the effects of poverty who lack access to basic health essentials.

The completed kits were created in partnership with The Period Purse who is dedicated …”to creating menstrual equity by ensuring sustainable access to period products, and by ending the stigma associated with periods through education and advocacy.”

Nature’s Sunshine Canada delivered the 500 completed kits to the Knights Table, an organization that they have previously partnered with, to help provide support for families experiencing poverty, hunger, and homelessness in Canada. The Knights Table will help distribute the completed hygiene kits to those in the community experiencing homelessness and those effected by poverty.
