The Impact Foundation recently celebrated the success of the second annual Charity Week of Service. During a week dedicated to making an impact, volunteers from Nature’s Sunshine committed over 1600 hours of community service and provided support for women and children facing poverty and malnutrition around the world.
Take a look below at some of the projects that took place during Charity Week 2023.
Synergy Indonesia
Synergy Worldwide Indonesia celebrated Charity Week by supporting Tunas Bangsa, a local orphanage in Jakarta, Indonesia. To fundraise for the project, over 80 volunteers came together to support Red Cross Indonesia. The team raised money, donated school supplies and provided nutritional food and Synergy products for the children to support proper health and wellness. Together, Synergy Indonesia donated over 500 service hours.
Synergy Korea
Synergy Korea celebrated Charity Week by supporting children in communities of poverty and those at risk of malnutrition. Together, Synergy Korea dedicated over 100 hours of service and helped to provide meals for 568 vulnerable and low-income children across 19 social care centers throughout the region. The funds for the project were raised with the help of over 300 Synergy distributors and employees.
Nature’s Sunshine Canada
To celebrate a week of service, Nature’s Sunshine Canada worked together to help provide support for those facing food insecurity and malnutrition. Volunteers helped sort, pack, prepare and provide meals to those in need at the Knights Table, an organization dedicated to providing support for families facing poverty, hunger, and homelessness in Canada. Volunteers dedicated 20 hours of service and helped make an impact in the lives of 100 individuals in need.
Nature’s Sunshine Poland
Volunteers from Nature’s Sunshine Poland worked together to share the healing power of nature by improving the grounds of a school for children of all ages with disabilities. Volunteers provided hands-on service to help get the school garden, lake and grounds usable for the children to enjoy in order to help them lead happier, healthier lives.
Nature’s Sunshine United States
With the help of over 300 volunteers, the Impact Foundation helped to bring essential vitamins and nutrients to children experiencing hunger and malnutrition through a partnership with Feed My Starving Children. In just two days, Nature’s Sunshine volunteers worked together to pack over 108,000 meals that will be distributed to children and their families, living in communities effected by poverty and malnutrition.
The meals that were hand packed by employees included a protein, carbohydrates, and essentials nutrients to promote growth and development of children living in communities facing food insecurity and hunger. These essential nutrients were specially formulated by food science and nutrition professionals to supplement nutritional needs and help reduce malnutrition.
Synergy Japan
Over 100 volunteers from Synergy Japan visited Utah during Charity week and participated in the two-day meal packing event. Volunteers helped to bring essential vitamins and nutrients to children experiencing hunger and malnutrition through a partnership with Feed My Starving Children.
