Employees from Nature’s Sunshine Ecuador returned to the Caminitos De Luz Foundation’s school located in Tumbaco, Ecuador. Nature’s Sunshine Ecuador has previously partnered with Caminitos De Luz Foundation and continues to support the foundation as they work to provide free education and quality nutrition to children between the ages of 4-12 living with limited economic resources.
“Little ones get very excited every time we visit the foundation,” said Xavier Tinajero, General Manager of Nature’s Sunshine Ecuador. “It is a very nice opportunity to share with them, to talk about the benefits of health and the good nutrition and of course to listen about their life’s, games, relatives, and all kind of histories.”
Upon their most recent visit, the team donated nearly 150 cans of Mortiño, a supplement rich in antioxidants and enriched with vitamin C and zinc, to help reinforce the immune systems of the students and their families.
“Nutrition is a very heavy topic among youth. Our products are the perfect opportunity to start a discussion about [topics like] immune system, obesity, [and] bulimia. Holistic education related to good habits are very important in communities with limited access to health benefits,” Tinajero said.
Caminitos De Luz Foundation is a non-profit whose mission is to offer an opportunity for students living in poverty to achieve comprehensive development by providing quality education, nutrition and promoting fundamental values.
