Nature’s Sunshine employees at the Columbus, Ohio distribution center recently completed a service project to help support children in their community.

The Impact Foundation partnered with the Nationwide Children’s Hospital to provide 100 coping kits for children in hospital care. These mini coping kits help promote healing and boost morale of children as well as help ease stress while waiting in clinics, before and after receiving treatment.

The employees packed several items into each kit, including:

  • Bubbles and party whistle to help with breathing exercises.
  • Playdough, fidget pop tube, and a squishy, stress ball for squeezing to help regain strength.
  • For a visual distraction, the younger children’s bags included an illustrated story book and a reusable sticker book for a visual distraction. The bag for teens included a fun, trivia book.
