Nature’s Sunshine Poland has been working diligently to help support children effected by the crisis in Ukraine. Most recently, Nature’s Sunshine Poland has donated over $17,000 (79,280 PLN) to the SOS Children’s Villages Association in Poland to help children, and their families, receive essential supplies such as medicine, food, and water.
“We wholeheartedly thank your company Nature’s Sunshine for supporting the activities of the SOS Children’s Villages Association in Poland in the area of humanitarian aid for Ukrainian children and families fleeing the war in Ukraine,” said Aleksandra Granada, the National Director of the SOS Children’s Villages Association in Poland, in a letter to Nature’s Sunshine. “It is, among other things, thanks to your help, that children who have been admitted to our Programs can be brought up in a safe and friendly environment. This is an invaluable value for which we are extremely grateful.”
The recent donation to the the SOS Children’s Villages Association in Poland comes from a previously committed $80,000, for Ukraine crisis-aid to help support refugees, friends, families, and partners effected by the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
Families in Ukraine are still facing many challenges including the colder weather and attacks on energy infrastructure.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination’s of Humanitarian Affairs, (OCHA), recently released an article stating that, “Ukraine saw the first snow of the season falling in mid-November, just a couple of days after a new wave of missile attacks targeting energy infrastructure had left approximately 10 million consumers, including families, businesses, hospitals and schools, without electricity, and millions cut off from water and heating supplies. The onset of winter conditions in Ukraine, where temperatures can drop below -20 degrees Celsius, brings new dimensions to the humanitarian crisis in the country and could be a matter of survival for millions of people if they cannot stay in a protected and warm place.”
