Nature’s Sunshine US Helps Students in Dominican Republic

Nature’s Sunshine visited the Dominican Republic in November for the Be a Force leadership retreat. During the event, Nature’s Sunshine volunteers helped pack and provide backpacks filled with school supplies for students at 2^nd Mile Missions’, Hope Academy.

By partnering with 2nd Mile Missions, Nature’s Sunshine volunteers helped students prepare for a brighter future by providing basic school essentials. These essentials are helping students at a time when, according to research on their website, 70% of students in the Dominican Republic will not finish school.

As described on their website, “Hope Academy exists to education and equip students in the communities we serve. Our vision is to partner with families in our community to transform children’s lives. We do this by providing students with education resources, spiritual enrichment, and academic formation.”
